Spring Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Creative Life Scrapbooking's Spring Blog Hop! I'm the last stop in today's blog hop following Lisa at Lisa's Workshop. You'll find a list of each of the stops at the end of today's post. Be sure to visit all of the stops on the list for some great ideas from the scrapbookers and crafters at Creative Life Scrapbookers. You might also want to follow our Facebook page at Creative Life Scrapbooking for even more inspiration and ideas for your scrapbook layouts!

It's been awhile since I've done anything digital and I've been looking forward to trying out Creative Memories new digital content. Even though I love working on my traditional scrapbook albums, I love the fact that all of my digital papers, embellishments, and tools can be stored right on my laptop!! I can take it anywhere to work on my digital books. On the other hand, my traditional stuff takes up an entire room! Anyway ..... I thought it would be fun to create a digital version of a traditional scrapbook layout I created for our Creative Life Scrapbooking Facebook Page with Creative Memories' Cake My Day products a few weeks ago.

Here is what I created and posted using the traditional Cake My Day collection:

And here is the digital layout I created using the Digital Cake My Day Digital Kit:

As you can see, I used my digital tools to create an almost exact replica of my original traditional layout. The only difference is that I gave each of my embellishments a bit of a 3-D edge and matted my photos with white.

I had a lot of fun working with digital again and can't wait to create more digital layouts using Creative Memories Digital Artwork!

February Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to Creative Life Scrapbooking's February Blog Hop. Creative Life Scrapbooking is a circle of photo lovers, memory keepers, scrapbooking and paper crafting enthusiasts, and bloggers. Our mission is to provide inspiration and education that will encourage people everywhere to celebrate their memories, exercise their crafty talents, and engage in a truly Creative Life!

I'm your first stop followed by Stefani at Crop With Stef. You'll find links that will take you to each stop in today's blog hop at the bottom of this page. Be sure to visit all of the stops on the list for some great ideas and inspiration from the scrapbookers and crafters that make up our group. You might also want to follow our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CreativeLifeScrapbooking/ for information about upcoming blog hops and more.

So ..... have you seen Creative Memories' new 13x9 Pocket Album yet? I love pocket albums for quick and easy scrapbooking and the 13x9 is my all time favorite. All you need to complete an album in no time are your photos, a Slide-In Pack, and a Dual-Tip Pen. If you're feeling a bit more creative you can add stickers and/or embellishments.

Here are a few layouts I created using my granddaughter's engagement photos, the 13x9 Pocket Pages, Natural Elegance Slide-In Pack, Natural Elegance Embellishments and Natural Elegance Stickers. I hope these layouts inspire you to create a Pocket Page Album for yourself or even as a gift for someone else.

As you can see there is a 2 x 4 inch pocket included on each page to slip a journal or title card into. I used my personal trimmer to trim 4 x 6 slide-in cards into three 2" x 4" cards. You can then use them as is for journaling or enhance them with stickers and embellishments. It's just that easy!

Here's what I used to complete my layouts:
Creative Memories 13x9 Pocket Page Album
Creative Memories 13x9 Multi-Pocket Pages
Natural Elegance Slide-In Pack
Natural Elegance Embellishments and Natural Elegance Stickers
Personal Trimmer
Dual-Tip Pen
Adhesives

There you go! I'd love to see what you've done with your own Pocket Page Album. Just visit my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/cmcdbrinsley to leave a photo of your layout.
